Donation Information
We've all heard the admonition to walk in someone else's shoes. Jimmy Wayne, now a successful author and entertainer, knows all too well what it's like to be homeless. So in January 2010, he took that expression to heart, embarking on a 1,700-mile walk, from Nashville to Phoenix, in the shoes of homeless youth. He has called his effort "Meet Me Halfway," the words uttered by the generous souls who adopted Jimmy from the streets when he was 16-years-old. The goal of Project Meet Me Halfway is to raise awareness about the plight of teens aging out of foster care and to provide homes for them as they move into adulthood. Learn more at ProjectMMH.org.
